Karting at Lhanbryde
Sun 8th Feb 2015 to Sun 8th Feb 2015
organised by Highland Scotland

Car Count : Unknown
[ show event report ]

The plan is to leave Inverness at 9.30am from DFS and go direct to Lhanbryde for the karting, as we need to be there for 11.00am sharp. (James Jones car park, Forres at 10.15 ish)

Please let us know if you want to be part of the convoy or if you just want to meet at Lhanbryde.

Hopefully our neighbours from Grampian will join us at this event again for some "friendly" rivalry and banter.

The format for racing is as last year ie the mini grand prix and the price of this is no more than 28 per head.

There will be "prizes" for overall winner and overall runner-up, fastest gentleman and fastest lady and of course a booby prize for the coos tail!

Following the racing we will have lunch on site, but have been assured of better service this time, and the prize giving.

Depending on weather we may take a scenic route home.

Cars booked (10)

02 - Charles and Gillian (One racing, both eating)
04 - Douglas and Muriel (one racing, both eating)
06 - Richard and Maureen (both racing and eating)
07 - Wendy (eating only)
08 - Stuart (racing and eating)
10 - Bobby & Shane (both racing and eating)
12 - Andy and Dorothy (one racing and both eating)
14 - Jimmy and Jill (both eating only)

The sun shone, the tops were down, the roads were dry - not bad for the beginning of Feb. Thanks to Douglas and Muriel for organising this and the Karting, great day. Congrats to Richard & Maureen on their wins. Great run home, just a pity we got split up half way.
See you all soon.

Fantastic topless day in February! My back is thanking me for NOT taking to the track today, but as fun watching the mayhem lol. Sorry we got split up Charles... I reckon Bobby must have been holding you back on the last leg home...we turned right  at Ardersier and came back by Castle Stuart.

Another excellent day out with all the essential ingredients, good weather, good roads, good driving, good food (all be it a bit slow) and of course great company!

FAB xx

The run through was roofless, the karting was ruthless, more crashes than my old computer. This MX Carbohydrate thing is getting serious though, 17 for lunch and only 9 racing, must try harder. Weather was brilliant but the opposition was even better, well done Grumpies, no, i mean it, really, well done. Good last stage home FAB, straight into the sun, you could sense the waves of unheard CB following us.

Well done Douglas & Muriel for organising an other super karting event with spills and fun aplenty. You really have the midas touch when it comes to arranging the weather, 3 years in a row at this time of year!!! Big thanks to the HI-5's for the warm welcome and making it a super day out as always.
