Autumn Leaves run
Sun 26th Oct 2014
organised by Tayside Scotland

Car Count : 9

[ show pre-run info ]

7 cars turned up at Tesco's car park today in the sunshine !! did not last very long but rain stayed off
We left with our roofs down on this our 3rd "Autumn Leaves run"
Now well into autumn with the sides of the roads thick with fallen leaves !!

Our route took us via Meigle (where our faither (aka sleep heid) Richard and Maureen met us  and joined onto the line of cars.
We then went via Alyth, Reekie Lin (local beauty spot ! ) wonder what the fire engines and rescue vans were doing there ??)
Along the windy road through Glen Isla, Dalruzion, to Kirkmichael down and then over the Moulin moors to Pitlochry, where once parked all headed to Mackay's for lunch (our usual stopping point)
After lunch we went for a walk about in the light rain before once again driving off in our cars, this time with the roof up !
Our return route took us past Faskally, past Queens View, down the north side of  Loch Tummel to Tummel bridge and then down the south side past Schiehallion on over "Wades Bridge" into Aberfeldy then over and down the "Sma Glen to Gilmerton, onto Perth and then back to Dundee.
total of 127 miles on great although roads, all had a good day
