Sunday 5th January 2014

For 2014 it has been decided that in the Winter months The Hi-5s would meet on the Sunday for lunch rather than risk the bad weather and dark nights. A short local run would be arranged prior to lunch.

Sunday meetings will take place in Jan, Feb, March, Nov and Dec.  In all other months we will meet on the evening of the  first Monday of the month as before.

This year we will again meet at the NEWTON HOTEL, Inverness Road, Nairn, IV12 4RX.

For further details about the hotel Click here

As previously, please note that the venue may change occasionally in order to allow us to visit the "outlying regions")!

The meeting proper will start at 14:30hrs but we will be having a bar lunch before the meeting.  If you'd like to join us for eats then please arrive by 13:00hrs -(depending on run arrangements).

There is no formal agenda, we get together to socialise and chat about cars - MX5 cars, holidays, the weather or anything else that takes our fancy.  Details of future runs may be given out / planned.

Members and Non Members are most welcome.  Please post in the comment box below if you wish to attend - especially if you plan eating!!!

Our first outing of 2013 was a brisk walk along Culbin Sands from the West end.  It was a great way of starting the year and working off some of the turkey dinners of the Festive Season.

We've decided to do the same again this year but this time we're planning an attack on Hill 99 from the East end of the Forest.

We plan leaving the DFS Carpark in Inverness at 10:00hrs to arrive at the Forestry Commission car park at Wellhill, just through Kintessack.

Please note that there is a car parking charge of 2 for the car park - well worth the money - trust me!

Attending so far: 5 CARS!!

02 - Brian and Frankie (eating)
05 - Wendy + 2 (eating)
06 - Phil (eating)
08 - The Als (eating)
10 - Doug and Muriel (eating)

A great first run out for the year. Tops down and more fresh air than you could poke a stick at! Great company as always, added to by a surprise visit from Richard and Mo from Grampian.

Brian's just about recovered from carting the coffee shop all round Culbin :-)

Sand is exhausting to walk on!  Well done for even trying to walk uphill in it.
