PLANNING MEETING

Sunday 17th November 2013

The Conservatory at
The Richmond Park Hotel
26 Linlithgow Road
Bo'ness
West Lothian
EH51 0DN

21 members met and had a lovely lunch prior to the planning meeting. A few other members arrived and the proceedings began. Jim opened the meeting by welcoming the members and providing appropriate paper work.

2012-2013 planning meeting minutes were discussed and approved by Drew Ness and Walter Sinclair. Jim delivered a synopsis of the past year’s events and runs. Discussion took place regarding the positive and negatives of the year also ideas for the coming year.

I decided [Maria Ford] that I would step down as joint Co-ordinator to enable someone else to take up the post, but I will still assist if required. After the election process Drew Ness accepted the vacant post of Joint Area Co-ordinator with Jim Ford who agreed to stay as Joint Co-ordinator for the coming year.

The proposed events may change but will be listed until the arrangements are confirmed.

Issues arising from the AGM were discussed and main topic was the Scottish Website. A Unanimous decision was that as we have an excellent website at present we will continue with this for the next two years then make a decision.

Chosen Charities
2013 Charity was Erskine, a donation to £600.00 will be paid from collections gathered throughout the year. A run will be organised to hand over the Cheque in March 2014.

This year two Charities were chosen.
Bosom Buds of Scotland >Bosom Buds this is a West Lothian BASED Charity. They support men and women sufferers of Cancer, sadly to say many teenagers too.

Smalls For All is another West Lothian based Charity sending to Africa underwear to children, bras for teenage girls and women.

We will have a box at each run for the underwear donations. Charles and Heather will take these to the Charity.

The afternoon ended on a high note with the presentation of the club trophies:

The Stevie Smith Trophy was presented to Ian Ness,  having attended the most events during the year.

The Trophy for the Members who contributed the most to the Club in 2011/2012 was presented to Marcia and Raymond Collett.

Walter gave a vote of thanks to Maria and Jim, all seconded this gesture.

Jim closed the meeting thanking everyone who attended and welcomed his new co-ordinator, Drew Ness.
