Fife Run

Sunday 18th August 2013

Hi, I have been approached by local garage that I use for my Mx5 servicing (like several others) to bring my Mx5 in to have the wheel alignment checked. He has a "Hunters Four Wheel" alignment ramp installed the second in Scotland !!

As a car "nut" he and I talked and we as Tayside area have been invited along to his garage in Dundee to have our cars given the "treatment"

He will supply light refreshments on the day and reckons in the afternoon he can do 10-12 cars. This check will cost 10.00 and each owner will be given a coloured print out of his/her car highlighting what may be required. If anything does requiring doing then the car will have to booked in for another date to be done. Good news is the 10.00 paid upfront on the test day will come of the full wheel alignment test !!

Paul requires the name, model, year and registration of any car requesting the test. So if interested please book your place now, please also remember that it is only available for a max of 12 cars and once this number has been achieved then that's that, first come, first served.

Don't worry though another date can be arranged with Paul should anyone else require it.

Intend to head over the bridge so can meet the "Fifer's" at south bridge car park, if early we can have a hot roll and a cuppa there before we go on our run.

Thanks ver much to Tom and Alex for organising today's run and to Gavin for leading us through some fun roads. It's the first run I've been on for a while, and it was good to meet some folk I've not seen before.

It was rather nice seeing everyone even although it was only at the garage. The next run we will difinitely be there for sure, our car goes in for a full service on Thursday and next month get the wheels done at same time as MOT so hope it passes no problems.

Hi folks
I hope everybody enjoyed the wee jaunt through The Kingdom. Sorry I could not complete it with you but I just have so much still to do before we leave for Europe on Friday and I'm working all week. Molly was supposed to get serviced on Saturday along with a drop link, a rear caliper and new rear discs. Due to parts not arriving it won't be done till tomorrow now which is cutting it a bit fine. I'll try and post up the pics I took before we leave.
Cheers
Sandy

Thanks Tom & Alex for organising this event. Great lead by Gavin on the Fife roads and enjoyed the lunch stop. Special thanks to Paul for is great service with the latest Hunter alignment kit. Quick efficient and accurate. While me MX is OK will be taking the other car for check and adjustment.  Great to finally meet up with Colin and to Tom for hobbling is way to the garage. If you get a chance before you head off Sandy would be great to see your excellent photo skills display.

Appreciate the thanks, but can't take any credit for the run, I just turned up. Tom organised it all and Gavin kindly lead us through Fife. A braw day. we even got to see (and feel) the speed bump centre of the universe that is Strathkiness. Get well soon to hopalong.
