The Argyll Run

Sunday 4th August 2013

Meet at 10:00 for a 10:30 departure
The Car Park
Station Road

Coogle Maps Link to Start Point

From the start point at Station Road, CallanderHead we head up A 84 to Lochearnhead where it becomes A85. Carry on up to Tyndrum via Crianlarich where it turns in to the A82 for a brief comfort stop. Then up to Bridge of Orchy where just short of it we will turn left to take the B8074 through Glen Orchy to join the A85 again turning right.
We will then turn left on to the A819 through Glen Aray to Inveraray where we will stop for lunch.

Lunch: There is no lunch venue planned as we will stop here for two hours from arrival. This will allow you to plan your own lunch stop be it a packed lunch or visit one of the many hostelries here. You might even have time to visit Inveraray Jail.

Glen Fruin

After lunch we will head off on the A83 up over Glen Kinglas and over the Rest and Be Thankful and down through Glen Croe in to Arrochar where we will turn on to the A814 beside Loch Long and head for Faslane.
Just after Faslane we will turn left off the A814 to take a lovely alpine drive up through Glen Fruin.

We will join the B831 which will bring us out to the A82 at Arden where we will head to Balloch where the run will end at the Blue Car Park at Lomond Shores.

Engine alarm and engine cutting out problem.
Mazda assist came out in 45mins, by which time the alarm had cancelled.
Drove the car home to Largs without any problems.
