The Not Just Fife Run

Sunday 16th June 2013

Meet at 09:45 for a 10:00 departure
Stirling Motorway Services,

Junction 9 M9/M80

Google Maps Link to Stirling Services

Ali and I were asked to organise a run while attending the planning meeting last November. Having been on many runs to date, we could not refuse and the soreness of the arm twisted up the back helped us decide. So this is our first attempt.

Lead car for the first time :-)

We had originally decided to make it easy and do a run in Fife but that meant missing out on some great roads further afield – hence the ‘Not Just Fife Run’.

Starting at Stirling M9 Services we will take in great MX-5 roads in Stirlingshire, Perthshire and Fifeshire – even passing Fife International Airport on route.

We will stop at The Boathouse Bistro on Loch Leven, Kinross for a coffee/comfort break before heading off to the finish point at Culross where we will have lunch at The Red Lion.

A room has been booked for 2:30-3:00 for lunch. This can hold a maximum of 34 people.

Culross is also a lovely historical village to stroll round if not taking lunch, or to walk off the excesses after lunch, before making our separate ways homeward.

Event Organisers: Ali & Drew

A raffle will be held with the proceeds this year going to.

Donations of prizes are always welcome.

Well done Ali & Drew on your first run. We thought it was a good idea to finish the run with a late lunch, where there was no pressure to get back on the road. Here's to the next one.
