[ show event report ]

09.45 for 10.00 depart.

Leave A720 at Gilmerton Jct,at end of slip road take 3rd exit at roundabout, take 1st exit at next roundabout, pass garden centre on right, take 3rd exit at roundabout, 2nd exit at next roundabout, Tesco is situated at next roundabout.

Enjoy a run through the borders then traverse the causeway that leads to Holy Island and Lindisfarne, where we return once again to meet up with our old friends Tyne Tees Area O.C.
Visit the quaint village and impressive castle, BBQ lunch (bring your own food) will be followed by the friendly rounders match Scotland V England, help us to regain the trophy we so sadly lost the last time.
Bring all your Scotland flags and regalia, lets show them up this time, they (the enemy) are already billing this as 'THE BATTLE OF THE TITANS'... we will unleash our secret weapon on them and send them home to think again. Did someone say something about a friendly match.

update...Unfortunately our secret weapon is on holiday, so will have to rely on younger members.

Douglas.

My first run with the club and was impressed with the turn out. being the youngest driver there i slightly felt out of place but was welcomed well by other members.

My first run with the club too. I was the one you picked up near the sumit of Soutra. Sorry, I had to leave early but my passenger was keen to meet the family.

Congratulations on an excellent meet.  Well organised, brilliant day out.  Still feeling the effects of the rounders match!

Nigel & Stella...Glad someone else is feeling the pain too, you both served Central Scotland well, thanks to all our team who will have suffered for their efforts today. Hope John who was at the last base is ok.

Another wonderful meeting with our friends from North of the Border. Lighthearted and freindly banter so it didn't really matter who won. Our secret weapon, 9 year old Jennifer had a whale of a time, who is going to tell a little girl she can't run, crafty or what? Looking forward to the rematch in 2006.
