Hi-5s Rally - MOTOR MANIA at Grantown on Spey - Event organisers are Dave & Val

Sunday 2nd September 2012

Please Note: Frankie and Brian are off on holiday and this event is being run by Dave and Val with assistance from Wendy!!! (many thanks)

FAB will endeavour to keep this page up to date until we leave - on the 25th Aug. but please copy your email traffic direct to Dave at
davidtreen@btinternet.com

This is an extremely popular event and could be the best attended Hi-5s event this year.  We have members from Grampian and the TaySliders joining us at Grantown.

Dave has been told that the Hi-5s should form up just outside Grantown (East side) and arrive in convoy so it is important that you contact Dave directly and give him your email address so he can keep you in the loop.

Wendy has booked a private room at the Grant Arms Hotel in Grantown for supper at 1800hrs.  The Grant Arms is in The Square so you wont have far to walk and you can watch all the others struggling to evacuate a busy town centre!!  Please let Dave know if you are planning joining in at the trough.

Dave has been informed that there are "other" MX5s booked into the show who may or may not be MX5OC members.  As always they are more than welcome to join in with the HI5s if they so wish.  Please email Dave if you want to join us in one large display of the world's most popular sports car!!!.

Motor Mania is now in its 15th year and is a family event. They accept vehicles of all classes and ages, and there will always be something of interest to have a look at.

There are plenty of food and drink stalls looking to fuel your bodily needs and they are pleased that yet again this year there will be several local organisations with stalls looking to fund raise for their own needs and we ask everyone to support them as they add to the atmosphere of the day.  The Cairngorm Farmers Market will also be operating during the day.

As usual there is a varied programme of music and entertainment for you.  This year there is a more local flavour with youngsters from the Grammar School performing Jazz and drumming. Motor Mania extends a warm welcome to all, whether entrants, stall holders, entertainers or visitors. The Grantown try Tri also takes place on that day, ending in The Square, and this only adds to the special atmosphere

After an early start from Dundee we had a nice drive up to Grantown on Spey for this event which was in it\'s 15th year.
Although dull during the drive and the morning when we arrived the sun did come out as forecast so we could have a walk about all the displays of which there was many ! A fantastic day out.
Many thank to the Hi 5s for arranging a stand for the Mx5\'s
