Sunday 2nd September 2012
Meet at 9:30 for an 10:00 departure
This event will be a day tour of some of The Borders finest back roads travelling via Duns, Coldstream and Yetholm (toilets) to Jedburgh for a delicious lunch.
After lunch we travel via Denholm, Melrose and Stow to the end of the run at Lauder.
Lunch will be at The Carters Rest
Freshly prepared soup of the day with a crusty roll.
Chefs smooth chicken liver pate with homemade red onion marmalade and Scottish oatcakes.
Deep-fried balls of local haggis served with honey mustard and thyme dressing.
Deep-fried battered haddock served with homemade tartare sauce.
Homemade beef steak, button mushroom and ale pie.
Pan roast breast of chicken masked with a pineapple and ginger sauce.
Homemade broccoli, blue cheese and walnut crepe finished with a creamy stilton sauce and served with crisp salad.
Sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch sauce.
Various ice creams.
2 course - £12.00
3 course - £15.00
Coffee / tea - £1.50 per person
IMPORTANT: The numbers for the meal are required no later than Friday 31st August at 5pm. Orders will be taken before the run on the Sunday, this due to the restaurant needing to know the numbers in advance to decide where we will dine.
