As if in tribute to the Network Q Rally, today's run was more of a collection of some wonderful "special stages" separated by some less interesting roads. The sections between the A91 Strathmiglo and Abernethy and between Falkland and Leslie were true twisty-turny MX5 roads, the latter made all that more demanding by the lack of daylight.

The passage over the back roads between Newburgh and Cupar with the views over the Tay and the section from Upper Largo to Lundin Links with the views over the  Forth were also popular.

A couple of lapses of memory from those of us who wrote the directions concerning one's left and one's right led to a few unscheduled stops and consultation via the mobile phone but we kept everyone together reasonably well.

Lunch was at the Pitscottie Inn and it was excellent.
Although we didn't schedule a 2 hour stop, a leisurely lunch never killed anyone and the conversation was good.

A short wait in Leslie for everyone to get out of the side road prompted a comment from a passer-by of "Oh look that one's got a hole in the back". For the more MX5 savvy, it's called putting the hood up without zipping the back window. It also allows the occupants to overhear numptie comments like that.

Thanks also to Dave Scott for the keyrings and to everyone who turned up and made the day so enjoyable!!
