Planning Meeting

The planning meeting took place at the Bowtrees Farm restaurant near Kincardine Bridge in Cental Scotland.  It was a highly successful meeting and we managed to plan the monthly runs right through to January 2003.  Members present were asked to provide their favourite runs from the past few years and these were used to make up the itinerary for the year.

As well as the monthly runs, the club discussed the possibility of charging a small fee, say 2, for each run to cover the costs of planning the route and printing off any stationary.  The general concensus was that this may put off prospective members so the idea was unanimously dismissed.

Dave Scott agreed to take on the role of motorsport co-ordinator and is going to plan 2 events for the club at Kames and Crail.  He is also closely involved with the Scottish Street-Racer club and they are planning a day at the Kames sprint track on Febuary the 3rd.  A few members from the club have agreed to go along to check out the track and see what it is like.

Richard Nicol agreed to host a technical day at his home on the 17th of February.  There will be a barbecue following the technical demonstrations.  Places are limited so please see the future events section for details on how to attend.

Because the MX5 National Rally is going to be held in Edinburgh in 2003, it was felt that members should make as much effort as possible to attend the National this year at Gaydon on the 14th and 15th of September.  It's not that far!!

Finally, a thank you must go out to the two couples who joined us (I'm terrible with names) for putting up with the in-house jokes and extended discussions about why Simon has no friends.  We hope to see you on future events!!
