The Fife Run and Picnic

Sunday 15th May 2011

Meet at 10:00 for an 10:30 departure

Burntisland Car Park Seafront
Links Place

For this event we plan to meet up at the main car park in Burntisland and travel through some interesting back roads of Fife. We'll eventually arriving at Tentsmuir Point near St Andrews where we'll have a picnic lunch.

Please ensure you all bring along your own lunch and mugs, coffee and tea will be provided. Also a good idea to bring along your folding chairs and picnic blankets.

Car parking charge: £2 per vehicle, payable at the electronic barrier. Please have the correct change available.

Barbeques: Barbecues are permitted, however they must take place within the picnic area, not on the beach. The bricks provided are to be used to avoid burning the tables.  Please also be aware that no alcohol may be consumed on the site and that you must take all rubbish away with you, including the barbecue (which can be cooled down with water from a tap outside the toilets if required).

Toilets: There are easy access toilet facilities. Please note that due to the risk of frost damage, all toilets are closed during the winter months

There's a lot to do and see at Tentsmuir, click on this link for more info. Tentsmuir Info

Had a lovely day. Good to see everyone and thanks to Marion and Graham for organising our day out. Ian's glad the rain stayed off and there are no crumbs or melted chocolate in the car this time LOL.

Good run.  Sedate pace suited our hangovers today.  Excellent roads, noted for future attack.  Picnic venue also noted for future use - so much to see & do!    Thanks to G&M for the organisation, and the wee mystery tour!  ;-)

Great fun and a big change for us. (We're very rarely over that way)
Must go more often. Must commend the ice cream in Milnathort. Delicious.
Water much colder than Ullapool.
Thanks to G&M but not to their satnav. Pity it missed the trip.

Good day out. Nice leisurely run home, stopping off at Anstruther for renowned fish and chips, yummy.  Good to meet some new faces too. Hope you'll join us again.
