Sun 13th Feb 2011
organised by Central Scotland
Car Count : 10
Sunday 13th February 2011
Meet at 10:30 for an 11:00 departure
St Margarets Head,
This event has a dual role:
A - To get back out on the roads and enjoy our cars once again after what seems like a very long winter.
B - And to hand over a cheque to Maggie's following our very successful charity fundraising in 2010.
After meeting up at the start point at North Queensferry we’ll drive west along the north side of the River Forth passing through picturesque Culross and on to the new Clackmannanshire Bridge.
From there we’ll head towards Edinburgh on the south side of the river passing through Bo’ness and South Queensferry. If the traffic allows we should be able to get a quick photo stop at the Forth Railway Bridge before heading to the Cramond Brig Hotel for lunch.

Following lunch we’ll head into the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh to the Maggie's Cancer Caring Centre where we’ll present the club cheque.

Many thanks to Dot, Chas and Gavin for organising the first run of 2011. It was so good to get out with everyone again after what seems like a very long winter.
An excellent lunch was also enjoyed at the Cramond Brig, with huge portions of hearty homemade food. This is definitely a good venue to use in the future.

Another good day out with good company and good food, would be be good to use the Cramond Brig again, not because it's 2 minutes down the road from us, honest!!

I have dragged myself from my sick bed to add my comment. It was nice to get back on the roads with with our MX5 cronies.Another good venue for lunch and the company was not bad either. Thanks to organisers as usual. Will get back to bed now and hope to be in better form at our next outing.Wattie & Janet.

Oops! I think I infected Walter with my bug sorry![Maria]
Anyway thanks to Dot,Chas & Gavin for organising the run. I felt very humble when I was at Maggies, the people do a fantastic support care. It was a pity that the Christmas Party was cancelled as we could have given even more money.Perhaps we can do a special 'Christmas'
raffle one day.
Good to see everyone again.
Maria & Jim
