NSS Report by Tom and John: Great day ! Started 9 am (for most! Jen and I arrived 9;10 and my wrist was duly smacked). We left at 9;30 (7 cars)drove to Walnut Grove where Alice(+1 = 8) joined our wee convoy.
Ian and Charles (to give him his Sunday name) plus all the stewards/helpers had erected all the event shelters and Mx5 club banners.
Very soon the field had a massive collection of all the models of our wonderfull cars (+ 1 = 9 NSS cars in total). The Bus Museum proved to be a popular easily reached location.
The buffet lunch provided was very good too and was included in the price along with the "goody bag"
We had an impromptu mini Tech day with Alice's car receiving some cosmetic and mechanical help.
All too soon it was time to go, so many thanks were given to the organisers and byes to old and new friends. John stayed on with NSE and many others - struggling with the shelters in the rising gales... (remind me (John) never to go campimg again LOL - see below). John pockled .. I mean collected Alice and Malcs raffle prizes. Roll on next year. A full camping weekend for the hardy and a hotel for the wimps.!!  (from Central !!)

Turned out nice despite the weather forecast. The bus museum was an interesting diversion - I just wish we had used the back roads to get to the venue. On the way home, we went via Knockhill, Powmill, Yetts O'Muckhart, Glen Devon, Crieff & Perth. Flippin brilliant!

A great day, I managed to have a blether, catch some sun on the way home and leave the NSS flag at Gathering. Malc and Alice both won a prize, to which I donated to Charity.. mine! Just joking. I'm looking forward to next years Gathering hosted by NSE. I hope there is some truth in the rumour that next years treasure hunt will be to all the whiskey distilleries on Speyside. :-)

Nice to see you so verbose John that you repeat yourself so many times....

Was good to see you out and about and also to catch up with everyone again.

Massive thanks to Ian and Chick (and the unsung heroes) for the excellent event, we all really enjoyed ourselves.

We look forward to welcoming you all next year, details will be furnished in the fulness of time.

Planning - what planning...it was all "off the cuff" with never a sleepless night
Could have done with some of that Speyside Malt a few times though.
Look forward to a trip to the NE next year

Big thanks to Ian and Chic for all the hard work.  The bubbly made it as far as Perth where we had a wee 'lie down' and a glass of the warm stuff.
You've set the standard - now we have to see if we can beat it! See you next year. Oh, and you WILL be wearing name badges to I know who you are!!!!!
