Itís the time of year again when we all get round the table and throw a few ideas around for future events, and a very productive meeting it was too.

Following a superb lunch washed down with some liquid refreshment, it was time to get down to work.

Once the first few formalities were over it was time to elect / re-elect the Area Co-ordinators for the next year. Following the recent decision of Charles Kennedy to stand down from one of the posts a vacancy had arisen. Rising to the challenge of the joint AC and dully elected into the role is Richard Nicol who will now become the joint Area Co-ordinator along with Ian Ness. Many of you will know Richard as he has been at the forefront of the MX-5 Scotland community for many years. Thanks were also voiced by everyone present to Charles and Heather in appreciation of all the hard work and dedication that they had put into the club during his period as AC.

After reflecting on the year past, we all got down to work planning the full and exciting schedule of events for 2011. It certainly looks like itís going to be another very busy and enjoyable year.

The afternoon ended on a high note with the presentation of the Stevie Smith Trophy to Sue and Gordon Thomasson having attended the most events during the year.

The Car of the Year Trophy was then awarded to Maria and Jim Ford, not just for their immaculately turned out car, but also in recognition and appreciation of all the hard work Maria has put into the club during the year.

We wish to thank everyone who attended the meeting and also, all our members who turned out and supported the events during 2010. Without you the club wouldnít exist.

We hope to see you all again at some of our 2011 events.
