The Lindisfarne Weekend Run

This will be a two day event with one night in a hotel in Seaton Burn Newcastle.

We will be meeting up with our friends from the Tyne Tees  Area and this year Yorkshire along with Peaks and Pennines Areas will also be joining all who come down from Scotland.

The Saturday run down to Newcastle will be on some brilliant roads as used on the recent Reivers Run. We intend to stop for lunch in Bonchester Bridge at the Horse & Hound Country Inn.

On the Saturday night we will have a social evening in the hotel. On the Sunday we drive to Lindisfarne Island for our annual rounders tournament. See the last years event.

There is also be a run down from Scotland to Lindisfarne on the Sunday for anyone wishing to take part as per previous years rather than staying overnight.

The main hotel for the Saturday evening will be The Holiday Inn at Seaton Burn near Newcastle.

It has a huge car park, a bar and lounge area, three restaurants, a Gym and a swimming pool. It isn't too far away from Holy Island: approx 50 miles.

The cost is £64.00 per room based on two sharing - room only and members should book direct with the hotel phone number 0871 423 4818 or book online.

There is the option of staying at the Travel Lodge which is right next door. There isn't any bar or restaurant facilities, however members choosing to stay there could use the bar and restaurant facilities at the Holiday Inn.

We would appreciate if members could advise when they have booked and we would appreciate if you could advise as early as possible to help with arrangements. Equally we would ask those wishing to attend on the Sunday only to post as early as they can.

Note: I you can't manage to come with us for the weekend then why not come on the Sunday only run.

A raffle will be held with the proceeds being split between.

Maggies Cancer Caring Centres and club funds.

Donations of prizes are always welcome.

01 - Connect your TomTom to your PC with the USB cable.
02 - Click here to download 20100703_Route.itn file
03 - At "File Download" window click Save
04 - At "Save in" browse to your TomTom device. Example: TomTom Go (F:)
05 - Open the itn folder on your TomTom.
06 - Click Save
07 - Disconnect your TomTom from the PC.
08 - Go to the Itinerary Planning section of your TomTom.
09 - Select: Options/Load Itinerary/20100703_Route

Had another great weekend, Sunday was a big surprise, weather forecast was appalling but we were playing rounders in the sun.  I think we must have a guardian angel..!!

Great weekend - brilliant run down on saturday, sociable evening on Saturday night and a hilarious but succesful rounders on Sunday. Add in fun company good food and most surprisingly excellent weather and the weekend was complete
