Tech Day & BBQ

Sunday 6th June 2010

Meet at 10:00 for a 10:30 departure.
Tesco Eskbank,
Bonnyrigg Road,

Google Maps Link to Tesco Eskbank

We have a new venue for this Tech Day in deepest East Lothian. This should make it a little easier for our East members to attend, although this is not exclusive to them, all are welcome. This will also give Eileen and Richard a (one off) well earned rest from hosting this event, although, we all hope they will both still be along to share their vast knowledge of all things MX-5, both social and technical.

After we all meet up at Eskbank well have a 29 mile run down through some spectacular East Lothian scenery. The run will finish at a second meeting point at Asda, Dunbar on the A1 junction, at approximately 11:30. It's a short hop from Asda to the event location so this will be your last opportunity to pick up some nosh for lunch etc.

Routes to the event will be available on the day.

At the event we'll have time to sort out all those niggly little jobs on your car. A BBQ will be provided so bring along your own drink and food to cook. Also, folding chairs would be handy if you have them.

Event organiser: Iain Fleming

It rained, he gave us shelter. We were hungry, he gave us food. He gave us spanners and we felt like proper men in a man house.
Thank you Iain

Thanks to Iain and Lou for the hospitality, to Richard for his advice and to Iain for the run down this morning. Enjoyable day and good to see the event shelter working well. Nice to see Evy again

Great day despite the rain, girls forced to sit inside, and chat!!!!
Many thanks to Ian and Lu for their hospitality

Great day - using the, er, to change the, er, and altering the, er, with the other, er, thing.

Well, it was definitely a good barbecue anyway. Interesting to see the correct way to remove a number plate plinth and the look on the faces of those who didn't have that skill ;-)

Thanks to Iain and Lu and also to A for the footie lessons.

Hi guys - sorry I missed this one - I had just returned from my holidays in England - travelling over 1000miles around yorkshire, lake district, down to london etc.

7th Jun 2010 12:30 :: Gavin
Despite the weather it was a good Tech Day and BBQ. Thanks to our hosts Iain and Lu.
