NSS Fife Run
Sun 30th Aug 2009
organised by Tayside Scotland

Car Count : 12

[ show pre-run info ]

With a Dave and Caroline run you'll always find something a bit different. Whether it was the statues of Jim Clark and Robinson Crusoe, the now trademark jaunt across the first fairway at St Andrews, the maze of roads we zigzagged across on our way to our lunch destination, or the organic food we stuffed down with relish, today made for another memorable event.
Although a bit chilly out in the open, the weather once again was kind to us as 13 cars lined up South of the Tay, including Arthur, Phillis, Ewan, Morag, Gary and Heather who came along for the first time, and Chic who travelled 1.5 hours to join us from Central - you were all welcome and haste ye all back! As we left our archivist Colin behind (thanks for the photos), we again marvelled how we can think we know an area well, but still have been ignorant of so many great twisties.
It's clear Dave and Caroline planned the route and day carefully, so many thanks to them for a great one.

Nice run today, daughter & I had fun. Sorry had to break-off early,- had another commitment in afternoon.
Hope to do another one & opportunity to talk more.

Great run - I especially enjoyed that switchback from Largoward down to Lower Largo.

We enjoyed the day from start to finish. Great drive, great food and above all great company. Apologies for the confusion over the drive home - our fault entirely. Apologies to Dave and Caroline who drove into the rendezvous car park just as we all left for home. We thought the "commandeering" of St Andrews Gold Course was really amusing and look forward to seeing the pics.

Not only amusing, but legal too.
Although it is hard to believe!

Enjoyed the day out on the other side of the Forth with a well organised run, good company and fine food. Well worth the journey

Fantastic run - all my favourite roads in Fife.  Loved the hairpin near Burnturk!  And a great lunch venue too.  Well done Dave and Caroline!
