EASTERLY PUB MEET

At Craigmillar Park Golf Club
Edinburgh

Thursday 25th June 2009

REPORT

Yet another very enjoyable well attended Pub Meet (or should that be Golf Club Meet), following the very kind invitation from Gordon to hold the event at his local clubhouse.

Craigmillar Park Golf Club

After some light refreshment, all eighteen of us enjoyed a delicious meal expertly prepared by the golf club chef.

It did seem that everyone was in the holiday high spirits. Heather & Charles, Dorothy & Chas, Gavin, Jacqueline & Ian had just returned from their MX-5 European Tour that very day, tanned and weather beaten after more than 2,700 mile top down motoring.

Sue and Gordon were also on a holiday high, sharing stories of their past driving experiences in Europe and excited about recapturing that same sense of adventure in their MX-5 on their next trip starting in a few days time. Other topics ranged from the up and coming Lindisfarne and Callander weekend, to some technical chat and motorbikes.

A warm welcome was given to both Lorna (husband David having already checked us out on a run LOL) and David, attending their very first event having recently joined the club. An enjoyable evening was had by all, hope to see you at an event again soon.

Many thanks to Gordon & Sue and all the staff at Craigmillar Park Golf Club for a very enjoyable evening.
