East Lothian Run
Sun 4th May 2008 to Sun 4th May 2008
organised by Central Scotland

Car Count : 13

[ show event report ]

Spring is in the air and summer is just round the corner. Time to shake up the roads in the East side of Scotland. So Iain Fleming is putting together a belter of a run.
This run will end up skirting the borders and blasting up to Dunbar and finishing at North Berwick.

Start point is IKEA at Straiton 10:00 for a prompt 10:30 departure and lunch is still being looked at.

If you're interested in going on this run let us know so that we can find a lunch venue that can take us all.

Gavin

Latest news 30/04/08. This run is on. The panic buyers have not defeated us after all.

Thanks to Iain for the "puddles & dust" run! Lunch was excellent - sorry we couldn't sit in the same room as everyone else! (That's not airs and graces, that's 4 yr old's tantrums ;-), which wasn't helped by me trapping her finger in the hood =8-0)

Thanks Iain for organising this. The lunch was excellent and the staff very friendly and prompt. I think Shannon and I breathed in everyone else's dust being at the back. A good pace was taken by all and it made the run all the more enjoyable. And the rain stayed off.

Echo the Thanks to Iain. Nice to see everyone again, including some new faces. After seeing this mornings weather forcast I thought it was going to be a washout, how wrong can then be!! :-) Jon

Again, many thanks Iain for a very pleasant wee run, it's lovely to visit new places and see new sights, lunch really was excellent and we agree with Gavin about the staff, extremely friendly and prompt service.
We made it all the way back to Troon without getting more than a couple of spots of rain on us.
Sorry to everyone behind me for the smoky exhaust, I will be investigating... :-)

Glad everyone had a great time, I had fun especially being out in front of the dust cloud on occasion!

Highly recommend the Black Bull in Duns for a future run.
