Secret Santa..If you wish to take part in this years Secret Santa could you please bring a gift, (generally £5-£7)when choosing a gift please consider if YOU would be happy to receive that gift, like last year Santa will have two sacks, one for Girls and one for Boys. (if you come as a couple bring one for each gender, or if you are single male/female bring male/female gift.
Festive Lunch Menu
3 Courses £15.95
Freshly made soup of the day.
Honey and Arran mustard roasted chicken with a tossed salad and orange vinaigrette.
Tiger prawn, crayfish and mussel medley with a garlic crème fraiche and roast cherry tomatoes.
Chilled fan of honeydew melon with a pear, apple & vanilla compote and a passion fruit & brandy coulis.
Blue cheese and spinach terrine served with Scottish oatcakes and a ruby port jam.
Smoked salmon platter with a caper, white onion & parsley kiln and a lemon sugar.

Roast breast of chicken with a champagne, onion & tarragon cream sauce.
Steamed Orkney salmon fillet draped with a light tomato & Tabasco coulis and a fennel & rocket salad.
Griddled rump of beef with a sea salt & cracked pepper crust and a dark ale & Dijon mustard jus.
Stir-fry of turmeric scented rice with a roast courgette, green pepper & chilli crouton.
Traditional turkey with stuffing, bread sauce & chipolatas sausages and a rich turkey gravy.
Oven baked Coley fillet marinated in olive oil & winter herbs, basil pesto and a tomato ragout.
Baked goats cheese, apricot & cranberry tartlet with a red wine syrup.
All served with fresh vegetables and potatoes

Warmed sticky toffee pudding served with caramel sauce.
Home-made Orange & Glayva Crème Brulee served with a mint cream.
Strawberry cheesecake served with chantilly cream and a mango coulis.
Traditional Christmas pudding with Brandy custard.
Brandy snap basket filled with a wild berry & Greek yoghurt compote.

Many thanks to all the Christmas lunch organisers. Yet again the River House did us proud with another excellent meal shared in wonderful company. We also loved the secret Santa presents. A merry Christmas and a very happy New Year to you all. Looking forward to another year of great club events.

Good to see you all again, and some new faces (to us anyway). Great food and company. Looking forward to joining some of the runs soon, now that we've moved house and are settling in.
