East-West Weekend
Sat 19th Apr 2008 to Sun 20th Apr 2008
organised by Grampian Scotland

Car Count : 4
[ show event report ]

Our first weekend run for a long time. We head north west for Aberlour (pick up point?) then south west for Fort William. We head round to Kinlochleven where we stay for the night. Next day we head off for Tyndrum and Crianlarich then east through Perthshire and Angus, finally taking the coast road back to Aberdeen. Total miles around 375. More details to follow

Also, there may be an additional one day run for those that dont want a full weekend away. Colin from North Scotland South may well plan something too so please see the events section for further details from him.

Excellent trip all round, it was great getting to grips with the 'three sisters' of Kinlochleven, one car had the advantage of a lighter payload on day one which would have helped on the twisty bits. I want to go out and do it again!!

It certainly did help. Guess what was sitting on the bed by the cat when we got home!

Ditto to that...we had a great time. Roads and scenery were superb and the sun even came out for most of the weekend. Thanks to Lorraine and Ian for organising the logistics of it all. I am unable to comment on Lorraine's packing skills but it sure bring new meaning to travelling light
