Well that was a lovely day for the club. We met at Dunecht (well most of us did, ahem, Chris)then drove in convoy to Alford for our 0845 entry slot. Weather was not too great with light rain. Once we got the instructions on where the club was to be situated we lined up along a high bank overlooking the arena, so great view to be had! The rain stopped though which was great. First thing was to erect the new gazebo (purchased with the raffle money) so we could take cover if it rained again. Then we all set to work making our cars pristine again. Dubs, rain and grass cuttings in equal measure do not make for bonnie cars but as per the whole day, we all helped each other and shared out the cloths and cleaning products. Before long we all looked as good as new and the cars didnt half look good too!! The club banner got its first airing thanks to my antique windbreak and some "acquired" tie wraps and another team effort. Job done! The banner looked great and being high up on the slope was visible for some distance. First visitors were other exhibitors then once the gates opened to the public at 11am there was a steady stream of folk. We all managed to have a look round and later in the afternoon we had a visit from the owner of the Dodge Viper who had been at our Dyno Day event. A good few of own club members also came to visit which was nice and Colin and Sandra took along a good sized supply of home make chocolate fine pieces. Yum Yum. All in all a fine day was had by all and I think it is safe to say we will be looking to make this a regular event in the club diary. Thanks to everyone for making the day go smoothly and special thanks to Robin for coming up from Falkirk, everyone for the flowers (blush!) and Findlay for letting me know the event existed.

Great day, just, thanks to Lorraine (and Findlay) with sorting out a spot for the club, thanks to "god" for keeping the rain at bay for most of the day. Great to see everyone, we had the best and most organised stand at the show :)

Thanks to the weather and superb group effort, we had a lovely day out and as Stevie said, the best organised club stand. We certainly had the best club banner and our own hospitality tent!! Thanks to you guys (& gals) for making my job easy.

Great day all, nice to see everyone again. We certainly did have the best organised stand. Well done Lorraine!

It was a cracking day (weather-wise, for this year, it was a scorcher too  ).  The stand and cars looked great and it seemed like everyone was enjoying a good bit of crack too.  Sorry I didn't get to speak to everyone.

As I said to Lorraine at the time, and others have also commented, it was the best and most organised stand of the show IMO.

As per my usual, I only read the bumff when I got home and then realised that we get a mention in the introduction of the programme as "the CAR CLUB stands also showcase some of the worlds newer significant cars like the MX5, the worlds best selling sports car." That almost made me cry I was so happy. Front page news alright!! I can feel another story for STHT coming on ;-))
