organised by Central Scotland

Car Count : 5

[ show event report ]

Run Organiser...Gavin
Meet with the Dutch Roadster Club (includes non Mx-5's) and escort them through the Borders all the way to the Beardmore Hotel Clydebank, Glasgow.
Apologies but the incorrect date had been entered for this.
The Roadster Club Holland will be coming over on Sunday 13th May with 37 Roadsters.

Update 10th April 2007.

The Ferry arrives at 0900Hrs on the Sunday morning.
The route is Ring road North around Newcastle A19 then A1, B6318 to Greenhead, Gilsland, Langholm. B709 to Gordon Arms Hotel A708. Turn left on A708 to Meggat reservoir and A701. A701 to Broughton, left to Biggar on A72. A73 to Lanark, A72 to M74 at Larkhall. M74 and M8 to Erskine Bridge. 220 miles of which 70 is on Motorway.
The group is staying at the Beardmore Hotel in Clydebank. and have their dinner booked for 19:30Hrs.

Central Scotland members might wish to meet up with them at Langholm.
The way their routes are planned is to follow a map or use the Tulip Rally system of notes which means they can travel at their own pace and not necessarily in a convoy like our runs.

27/04/07
Update: I have been given a Silver 2.0l Sport by SDM Mazda in Falkirk until my car is ready. I will have a 5 on the day.

Gavin

Thanks everyone for a great day out even the weather couldn't spoil
Thanks to Gavin for the initial planning sorry you couldn't make it.

Good run, nice roads/scenery. Some of the roads were a bit of a test for my new Toyo Proxy's which performed well on the damp roads. Ron enjoyed his first outing with the club, and we are both looking forward to the Spring Rally later this week. Nice to meet the Dutch, and talking to Andree. If the Dutch Roadster Club are reading this --- hope you have a great time in Scotland!

Glad you enjoyed the roads, that route up from Langholm is one of my favourites.

Really enjoyed the run in spit of the rain. Good to see the new guys and hope they'll be back on a dryer run. Must apologise - all my photo's are of the ULTIMATE driving machine - could'nt help myself

The rest of the photo\\\'s later - no more of Z8 - aww.
There must have been a good, million quid of motors sitting in that tiny car park - Superb.
