NOW THE HUNGRY MONK RESTAURANT LOCHWINNOCH JUST OFF THE A737 BEITH/DALRY/IRVINE ROAD 10.30 FOR 10.45 DEPART.
Directions to start point:-
Take the M8 to Paisley, just after road works at Glasgow Airport take the A737 left hand slip jct 29 signed to Irvine, continue on the A737, at roundabout beside Blacksmiths, go right signed Lochwinnoch A760, Hungry Monk sits on left a few hundred yards down.

Another chance to drive the quiet Ayrshire roads, with Lunch at one of our all time favorites 'The Malin Court'

Slices of melon and fruits laced with passion fruit syrup.
Chicken live pate served with crusty garlic
bread and redcurrant jelly.
Smoked mackerel served with crisp salad leaves.
Soup of the day.
Roast rib of Scottish beef with Yorkshire pudding
and a rosemary gravy.
Smoked haddock glazed with a cheese and leek sauce
Breast of chicken in a peppercorn sauce.
Mushroom and roasted red pepper risotto.
Baked rice pudding.
Fresh fruit salad with sorbet.
Arran Brie with celery, grapes and oatcakes.
Coffee and shortbread.

just to say sorry that i didnt continue to the end but had to return to see rach in hospital,never the less it was a good run and meal was spot on,pity about the weather,just to say thanks to all involved and good to meet some new faces

Thanks for a great day in rainswept Ayrshire . Just been down to Stewarton Main Street this morning and the traffic is still chaotic ( the road is now open but someone has crossed the wires on the traffic lights and I was almost mown down by an oncoming bus !)

Considering the number of cars I thought things went very smoothly, thanks to Phil & Sheila, Gordon & Janice and Douglas & Linda for leading the groups. Malin Court excelled again. I thought that traffic jam that group 3 got stuck in was hilarious with residents coming out to see what was going on in their normally quite street.
