The Spring Rally 2007 will be at the Beamish Museum - near Durham. on May 20th.
The host Area for this event will be our good friends Tyne Tees, there will be a small admission fee which covers the cost of the Rally and the museum / park (normally £16.00)

The Ravensdene Hotel,
has been booked as the Rally base Hotel and room bookings are now being taken. Some Central Scotland members have expressed a wish to go down for the weekend ie..Friday to Sunday, either way its up to you, book for one night or just travel down on the Sunday.
Rooms are £50.00 (discounted from £70.00) per night.
Quote 'Tyne Tees MX5 owners club' to secure the room and get the discount.
The tel no is 0191 460 4312. They will ask for £20.00 non refundable deposit on booking, payable via debit or credit card.

Near the Holiday Inn there is a Toby pub and restaurant, and about 100 yards away there’s a Campanile motel with restaurant.
TGI, Frankie and Benny's and the Skiff Inn (fish) and Harry Ramsden fish restaurant about 500 yards from the Metro Centre
'Last Days of the Raj' Kells Lane, Low Fell......a fantastic Indian eating place!
Just off the Durham Rd. Low Fell.

Well,we're back. All the way home with the roof down, but sadly not with power steering.

We've certainly caught the sun! That was our first rally since Edinburgh and a good one too I thought. The cavalry charge home was good too!

Great Rally! Weather was a touch windy on Friday & Sat, but Sunday was glorious. Beamish was fantastic. Great to see everybody. Well done Tyne Tees!

What a great weekend,thanks to Richard,Douglas and all at Tyne Tees.
Met up with another silver 5 on the way home and had impromptu mini convoy MX51 GAR.
Chas's sunburn will die down eventually!
My foot is slowly recovering from overuse!

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend over the border and will come back to see us again in the not too distant future (in a better hotel though I promise, yeah I know, I slipped up there) However, I hope the venue for the rally, the great weather, fantastic driving roads and our northern hospitality more than made up for it.

Yep!  Fantastic!!  What a great venue for  the rally too, and the treasure hunt was fun, but why didn't Cilla and I win?  We tried so hard!!

What about the main rally in September?  It's meant to be a great motor museum.
