Great day / great turn out / great run !!!!!
Even a monsoon was unable to dampen the spirits which had been elavated due to the victory on the rounders field - and the thought of the Englanders being sent home, tails between their legs for the second day in a row.
Cheers to Douglas for organising.....and for the loan of radio + flags, which were superb !!!!!

Hi Folks,
What a fabulous day!  Holy Island. Thanks to everyone for making it so special, we raised 100.00 on the raffle, the full amount will be sent to St Oswald's Hospice where Terry was treated and where he spent his final days.

Thank you, to all those persons who contributed, either in donating a raffle prize or in buying tickets (or both). The raffle has to be one of the funniest one's we've ever had. I have a feeling those scented candles will be making another appearance in another raffle soon, how many times did they get put back in, to be drawn again??? really wasn't England's weekend was it..? We got knocked out of the World Cup and the Scot's finally won the rounders match.
Fair play to you guys, you played well, though the little doggie was sneaky ploy, but we can't complain too much, it worth seeing him nick the bat for the laugh it gave us.

Tyne Tees.

Had a great day - maybe took the rounders a bit too seriously but that's my competitive nature coming through ;-)
Sorry I didn't hang around at the end - I could see the weather arriving and decided to make a sharp exit.
