Day trip over to Skye.

The Misty Isle is awaiting your visit on Sunday 7th May. We will meet you all at  Sheil  Bridge 09.30 to 09.45 then we will have a leisurely drive down to Glenelg for  breakfast. Once fed and watered we will travel to the oldest turntable ferry in the world to travel to the Misty Isle-An t-Eilean Sgitheanach. Ferry fare is around 7 which we will collect and buy a book of tickets to take advantage of the block discount. When we have  landed on the Isle of Skye we will travel toward Portree passing the world famous Cuillins (we have asked the council if they would put a road up to the top and this is hopefully under consideration!)  We will stop for photo opportunities and finally go to see if the fairies are about up the Glen. We will then have an early evening meal at the Uig Hotel around 17.30hrs. Depending if time allows we will have an afternoons Cuppa at Columba 1400. After the evening meal we will race back to our cars and head for home!  Again together

Many thanks to Eric & Rachel and Martin & Lisa for organising a cracking tour of Skye yesterday. It really was a great day out and the lovely weather was the icing on the cake. Thanks also to all those that made the trip - must have been some sight to see all twelve cars on the road (and ferry!). Also a warm welcome to Simon & Shirley and we hope they enjoyed their first outing with us.
