Alloy wheels or spacers

Postby ListonEunos » Fri Oct 14, 2016 8:57 pm

Was thinking of getting some hub centric spacers to widen the track of my eunos, then I thought I'd get some wider alloys as I need new tyres as well. Now I'm torn, any suggestions either way. :?

Spacers may require longer studs you will have to investigate that.

The MX5 likes light weight wheels and can have the handling and ride upset by heavy wheels and there are a lot of heavy alloys out there.

The wider the wheel the more they weigh with possibly no increase in roadholding.

Again the wheels you may like may need longer studs if they are not MX5 specific wheels.

A good bit of research needed.

Hi there, thanks for that. I'm starting to feel more drawn to the spacers again as I really like the wheels I've got although they do need a refurb and the spacers are not cheap.
