Hi from Invergordon in the North of Scotland.

Looking to join the MX5 community and keeping a eye out to see what's available?

Budget up to £6000 if anyone knows of any good ones coming up for sale, I'd be delighted to hear about them.

Cheers

Hi Corms,

Welcome to the wonderful world of MX-5's.

That budget should get you a good car.

We are in Kildary so if you fancy a chat just send me a pm.

Also check out the Highlands & Moray section of this forum for local events -all welcome.

Hiya mate,

what year/model of 5 are you after?

Mk1/2/2.5/3?

If you are after a Mk1 with that kind of money, it would buy you a fresh Japanese import so it should be rust-free and peachy.

At the other end of the scale, it will also get you into some of the earlier Mk3s if that is your aim.

Good luck, and post photos when you get one.
Previously in a 2003 Montana, now in a 1991 V-Special...

Trying to get as new as possible.
Don't know much about the mx5 but one of the reasons I joined the forum to get info.
Will post pics when I manage to get one.
Cheers

I would suggest buying on condition rather than age. Either way there is plenty of advice available on here.
