Off to look at it today.......these are getting pretty cheap now and this is a 56 plate.very tempting as this is getting close to some mk2 prices.
Any thoughts?

Check the arches, front and rear for perforation.

Otherwise just the usual wear and tear.

Six and a half years ago, I paid £2,500 for a Mk2 that was 10 years old.

Six and a half years on you are talking about £2,900 for a car that is 9 years old.

My car needed the rear arches done within a year which with a few other touch ups was around £900 I think.

Therefore my cost say £3,650 with the wheels powder coated.

One of the members on here has spent circa £600 recently on rear arches and other bits on his 2006 Mk3.

Total cost of the Mk3 if their' is typical £2,900 plus £600 equals £3,500 plus powder coating of wheels say £3,750.

It appears the lower end of running an Mx5 is similar today as it was 6 or so years ago.

Now if that car give three years good running, in my book it is a good deal.
