using later mk3 interior in early mk3

Postby secat187 » Tue Sep 08, 2015 4:16 pm

Hi all,

Is it possible to use the door cards and seats from a later mk3.5 or mk3.75 in 2006 mk3? From looking at pictures it would seem that the seats are similar but the door cards may be different. Does anyone know for definate?

Thanks

Yes the seats will fit but to check the doorcards you would have to register on the Mazda portal and check out the parts numbers of the doors on the different models to see if there is a change in door part number.

Thanks, the door cards do look different on the later models but the mounting holes and clips positions look similar.

Just an update. The seats and door cards fit pretty much fine. Door cards sit closer to the inner door panel around the cup holder so I had to make sure the wiring loom routed around the plastic and didn't snag. Getting a slight squeek from the seats but might just be needing re tightened

Only problem I had is the lack of airbags in the seats so the warning light in the dash comes on for both seats (error codes 22 and 23). I've read that you can get a bypass kit to prevent the warning light coming on but I can't find it now. I imagine that the kit will mostly be a resistor of some sort. Does anyone have any ideas?
