Thanks to Eddie today and the Drumtochty fettling facility we went from this;

to this;

That standard box is massive! Definitely grown since I did my NC1 as this one wouldn't fit in the boot, it's 'hidden' at Drumtochty until it can be recovered.

Some other shots today, car is sporting the grunge look just now :)

Looks great had a similar one fitted, but not a Cobra. Is yours race or road.

Love just going out for a drive to listen to the noise.

You may find you get a vibration from the shelf behind the seat, easily cured by a bit of padding, used a bit of water pipe insulator on mine.

Looks great! I'm replacing my standard pipe with a Racing Beat one in early April. Can't wait to hear the difference it makes. :D

You'll both be a dab hand at changing them over now!

Looks miles better.

Saw it sat outside your house last night, a bit cleaner than in the pics 8) would have tooted but you were nowhere to be seen.

That looks good Ian. I might Ebay the Racing Beat and get one. It has grown on me though so intertia might get in the way of progress.

Fitted the Sherrif's Cobra Road Box today.

One of the outlet pipes was 90mm long and the other was 140mm long that confused me.

Installed a Cobra Exhaust today on Larry's car as well as doing the brakes for his European trip next month.

Both lower slider pins on the front brakes were seized and the offside one took ages to free up.

Image

We had a problem on this one as the input flange is nearer to the silencer body than the road types and the supplied M10 x30mm bolts were too long on one side only. I had some M10 x 25 bolts and fitting one of those sorted it.

Image

The silencer was a different design to the last two I installed, they were road types this one is a race type but it did not sound much louder.

Here is a an installed picture.Image

Will be interested to hear that, I'm sure I read somewhere that the Cobra race box is too loud for some track days,

There were four cars out for a run around Montrose and Stonehaven and it was no noisier than any of the other cars.

Doesn't that kind of defeat the object of having a Cobra? :mrgreen:

Do you guys think the 'road' version is the way to go? Family say it can be my Father's Day Pressie :D

I don't want as loud as my old SC B Spec with the MX5 parts exhaust, but I would like more sound than my old Carerra in non-sport mode.

Ready to buy as long as I can find someone with it in stock. EBay seems to have best prices, but some are three week delivery.
