Count me in ! I was up at knockhill last night with the mx5 and had a blast - the new Torsen diff makes a massive difference to the car, much more control in the corners, the car definitely feels quicker.

This months 'car budget' is already wiped out with boring stuff like tax, mot and insurance but I'll try to squeeze a few quid to fit some fancy brake pads -thinking of yellow stuff or axxis ultimates.

(Edit) or maybe some new tyres !

Currently showing 10 spaces in the shop, TS events usually sell out in advance so I would recommend booking a space if you can.

Another really enjoyable evening, a good mix of cars and driving standards were decent - slower drivers courteously moved aside for the fast stuff and the fast guys didn't hassle the slower cars. The sun was shining through out and there were only 2 red flags if I remember correctly.

Nice to see some new faces and 5 owners out on track, my apologies to Brian (smiles) and Graeme who I took out as passengers and may have got a bit carried away.

It's definitely time to give the car a good service though, I really should have done it before today but didn't get time. New (upgraded) pads all round, some nice fresh oil in the engine, gearbox and diff are on the list.

There were a few fancy looking cameras dotted round the track so hopefully some decent pics will appear soon.

Next TS event is Sat 31st August - I hope I can get the day off work.

I'm glad to report that the erratic oil pressure I was seeing was in fact a dodgy connection on the pressure sender, once cleaned up the guage is back to where it should be. I've got the service kit all ready anyway so will drop the oil over the weekend and see what condition three track days has left it in. I'm expecting something resembling Guinness to run out of the sump !

Looking forward to the next one already (sat 31st August)

Looks abit straight to tbh. Gm was at the scrapies this morning snf g9t all 1.8 calioer mounts just need the discs and 2 new rear calipers. Will I buy 1.6 calipers or am I aswell buying the 1.8 ones since the pins r seized in my ones? Also got a splitter aswell which hopefully straight forward fit.
