Well had a chance to get my first job on our new purchase done this afternoon. Off with the old wheels and on with the new. Took the oppertunity to chip the rust from the edges of the discs as the car has stood in a garage since last September.
Two of the old wheels have a slight buckle (pot hole) and 3 of them have been kerbed. Just going to keep them to put on car when it's standing over winter. Fair weather biker and MX5'r these days.
Cheers Tommy Had a new set of chromed wheelnuts delivered today just to finish them off. Hope this weather improves for the run at the weekend. See you there
Beautiful wheels, excellent colour match. My wheels are still off and car on jacks. Not in rush to get them on, although I had hoped to join you guys this weekend, with all the snow and road closures, even with the winter paws, it would be an arctic expedition to get over the mountains. I assume you've given them a good few coats of wax, Sandy, do the same with the nuts as well, to keep the road salt away.
