My Alfa GTV

Postby stuh1981 » Tue Mar 12, 2013 4:07 pm

Just replaced my 1999 MX5 with this.

Getting the timing belt done next week. Already purchased new badges for the front and back. Still need to order clear side indicators also.

The headlights don't pop up.
The roof does not come down.
At one time you would warm about rust but these days that's the pot calling the kettle black!

I will miss the fact the roof does not come down but one of the reasons I got rid of the MX5 was it was being taken over by rust :?

I am more concerned about the amount of times I will left at the side of the road waiting on the AA  However so far done 1000 miles and the car runs perfect.

I had a GTV (ph1 TS) for over 7 years and was never once left stranded by the side of the road due to the car. The one and only time I needed AA was when I drove it through a v.large puddle and twisted a conrod, can't blame the Italians for that.
