Central Scotland Car of the Year.

Postby DouglasH » Mon Jan 16, 2006 1:00 am

Congratulations to Shaun and Mary for winning the 2005 'Car of the Year' award. Due to the lack of opportunity to judge the cars last year, Mino and I took the decision that I would choose a car that had been at Callander in 2005, I therefore picked the car that I thought the owner had tastefully improved the most over the past year.
The 2006 award will be judged on cars displayed, by members attending and presented at the Callander Classic two day event from now on.

Below is a picture of Shaun's car taken earlier in 2005.

Can I just clarify? Is that cars attending Callander or is that cars attending during the year and awarded at Callander? No issues either way, I'd just like to be clear.

Yes its cars attending Callander, it was felt that due to it being a two day show event, it would be a more suitable place to see all the cars together.

Very very nice.
Envey the paint work,
Has it been resprayed? surely it's not the original.
Would love mine to look like that.
Clear accessories and wheels set the car off beautifully.
Well done

Thanks to everyone for the encouragement, advice and assistance over the year :D :D :D :D was well chuffed on Sunday

Unfortunately Paul it's not original paint, the car was resprayed in its original colour around March last year, don't think there were two panels the same colour at the time, although no real shame to a car that was 13 years old at the time :!:

Douglas, where exactly was the photograph taken :?:

Callander Car Park behind Dreadnought Hotel. Saturday 7th May. I know there's lots more mods you have made since that picture was taken, like your clear lenses and a dinky little Mx-5 Scotland sticker  so if you have any other pics you could stick em on.
