Best Lunch venue of 2005

Postby DouglasH » Tue Jan 03, 2006 9:24 pm

Ok hopefully we've had the worst for 2006, so where in your opinion was the best in 2005, my own vote would have to go to the Malin Court in Turnberry (17th April 2006...Ayrshire Treasure)

Anyone else...

Does Christmas Lunch count? The Riverhouse gets my vote!

Having missed the beginning of the year:

I'd have to say the Riverhouse too

if Christmas lunch isn't included, it's a toss up between:

The Grouse Experience Sun 30th Oct 2005
Whitekirk Golf Club. Sun 9th Oct 2005

Just for the food, not the whole day :)

P.S. Didn't get any bacon in my pie

Tom - hope you got a discount after missing out on the bacon..
Have to agree with the Malin Court as best lunch although they did not have the after dinner entertainment so enjoyed by Gavin on the Amsterdam Ferry

Didn't make it to as many runs as we would have liked but the Malin Court was the best value lunch I've had in a long time.

They were all pretty good, Malin Court probably the best...

...the worst? Had to be the Oystercatcher Inn, food was terrible, service was awful and what a shame because the setting is out of this world!
