Five 5s!! Impressive.

I'll be up around the back of four as well. Think I saw you're car at the Dreadnought night btw Mark. I was at the hairpin. Still have the bark of that Turbo S in my ears. Ooooh!! :D

Yep, that was me, paul was also there in his green vr-limited, we ended up talking to Ross who had the BRG mk1 on the track, he may be coming along on thursday too !

I've never heard a car make such a noise as that Porsche was making, it was absolutely screaming on the main straight, very, very fast !

I liked the way all of the fast cars seemed to stay off at the same time and the track was clear for the 'normal' cars such as the minis, mr2s, mx5, mgzs, fiestas etc - much more fun when you are not constantly getting in someones way.

See you on thursday, i'm really looking forward to it.

(i need to go and see Dave to fix his alternator belt today, make sure he's ready for thursday)

Great night last night. Some great pictures on the trackscotland forum. Great to meet you all and such a wide range of '5s.

Figured out why my cas was soo loud; put an endoscopic camera in the exhaust to find almost no wadding in the silencer. Hopefully won't be so antisocial next time out.

note the integra with it's nose in the tyres - no injuries to the occupants but the car took a beating

all was going well until i made an unplanned off road excursion

see the orange blob under the front bumper ?

here's a close up when i got back to the pit

looks like my air con radiator saved the main radiator from damage

oh well, it didn't work anyway !

Image

a slightly wonky 'line up'

(l-r) Ross's v-spec, Kev's turbo, Paul's VR limited B, Mark's 1.6 eunos, Chris's uk 1.8 and Dave's 1.6 eunos

the next event is in November, 4 hours on a saturday afternoon - i'll be there, by the sounds of it there should be a good few mx5 out again.

Can't wait until November now, we'll get a nice neat line up then. Mark, where'd you get the towing eye?

Booking is now open for the next event on Saturday 12th November 12pm - 4pm

TRACKSCOTLAND

Presuming it may be a little damp, i'd better look out some tyres with a bit of tread on them !
