I think most people who drive a 5 would prefer not to have their pride and joy grit blasted by the ever increasingly broken up surface at Crail. If you have a track dedicated car then go for it. Not for me though, mine's a daily runner. :D

yea i can unserstand that, but at the end of the day no car will last forever, i'd rather enjoy the car and have the memories of putting it through its paces instead of drive it to work and back each day, park up in the garage and let it rot

you can be as careful and meticulous as you like, but it will die one day, enjoy it while it lasts

but then i bought mine as a toy to tinker with where as other people may want a return investment in the years to follow

the memories far outlive the car! i remember the lantis type r i used to have with the v6 and the noise that thing made was unbelievable, everytime i picture it in my head it brings a smile / grin / giggle to my face

that car is now a washing machine or something similar :(

must admit I am lucky to be in the same situation, bought the car to tinker with and modify so therefore keeping pristine or original was never on the cards, just look at the colour!!.Dont want to do serious harm to the mechanicals but will be part of owning a 20 yr old car that things will go wrong. There are alot of nice unmodified cars in the club but I have always had more interest in the modified 5's
