Sat 3rd April - Bowling, beer and chips - mmmmm chips!

Postby The Pram » Tue Mar 23, 2010 9:59 pm

We are having a wee bowling and chips event on Saturday the 3rd April.

Venue – the beach bowling place that I have forgotten the name of

Time – probably around 4 ish maybe but will be confirmed nearer the time

Chips – in town somewhere near a pub

I think you will agree this is (not) very well organised and planned. Finer details need an iron out, as you can see.

Please add your names to this thread if you are coming along.

Ok guyes, here is the plan. Meet at 3pm in Archibald Simpson then we can go on mass to the bowling. If you'd rather just meet there then please say here. We can have a swift half then trot off down the road. I was going to try and book a table at either archies for chips or maybe a wee trip to the prince might work too. do they do supper on a saturday?

Do Archies take bookings for food? Even if not you can usually get squeezed in, may have to stand with a pint while waiting (tough really :D ). As for POW think they do food at the weekend but I don't think they serve too late (past 8 ish).

See, see...that's what happens if you even start to contemplate a "plan". Pear shaped before it gets off the ground.

OK, plan B - no plans!

Right Guys, Marty's leg won't allow her to walk from Archibald Simpson's to Codona's at the beach so we'll meet you there around 4pm.

Bowling booked and paid for, 12 people x 1 game at 4:15, arrive by 4 to get shoes and things sorted. If anyone wants to go for a second game organise on the day.

Cost = £5.30 per person to me on the day please.

Hello all,

We'll just meet people at the bowling - going to the pub afterwards before Frankie Boyle, and don't want to be too sozzled by the time we get there!

Will there be a team rep with a brolly or clipboard in the air for me to identify?!?!? :D

Does that £5.30 inlude the shoe hire?

Colene,

As far as I'm aware the shoe hire is included, the lane(s) are booked in the name of Hindmarsh, look for the bedraggled confused looking group...... There was a thread on here a while ago with peoples mugshots, will see if I can find it, if not maybe it's time for a new one. Watch this space.

Thanks to everyone for a great day today. Good to meet Blondie and Jason. Hope you enjoyed yourselves. The dogs were happy to see us come home to feed them. Not sure if we've been forgiven for providing dinner three hours late, though!

Hiya folks!

After driving round and round trying to find a space near Archies, we realised we were cutting it fine for getting tea before Frankie.

Sent Lorraine an email in the hope she had internet
on her phone as it was the only contact
I had.

Had a great time and hope to see you all again soon.
