NSE - Rugby 'n' Curry - 28/11/2009

Meet in a pub to watch Scotland play Argentina in the last of the Autumn tests and then head on for a curry afterwards. KO 14:30 so arrive earlier if you want a good vantage point, details of venues to be posted later.

Names to Ian to secure a seat at the curry table please.

Open to anyone in other sub areas who care to join us.

Depending on numbers the pub will either be the Illicit Still where they can give us a room with a Projector TV or O'Neills.

Choice of curry house will be made based on numbers.

Food bill will probably be by equal division.

Like I said, I'll make the evening bit and Clare will come after she has been to watch the rugby at Edinburgh!

.... reccying ..... there was no reccying, the fact that Diane and I were there the week before was just part of our normal Saturday in the Rugby season :D

Glad you enjoyed it, we must do similar next year!

What do you think about Rugby and Cricket as opposed to American football and baseball? Im interested as how the americans see rugby and cricket and how the rugby or cricket nations see the aforementioned american games.

Hi amberika,

Personally American Football and Baseball only register in my consciousness at a peripheral level, mainstream media does not feature them here compared to Rugby and Cricket. I do remember an enjoyable afternoon at Hard Rock in the Toronto Skydome watching a baseball game, very relevant in its context.
