Lorraine - the belkin works with all music player thingies with an earphone socket while the Itrip- has a second little plug that makes it only work with the ipod. I have a belkin and can use it with the ipod or with my portable CD. Can tune in the car radio or the house radio or...when on hols I can play it through hotel radio alarms. Nifty wee gadget

ok, the scores on the doors:-

Belkin 2 - iPod thing 1.

any advance on that :?: :?:

will likely try Maplin during the week to see what they have.

I like the idea of using it on holiday too as then there is no need for wee speakers. What a handy gizmo.

It is the Belkin Tune cast 2 that I use and have no problems with. This Ebay link is to a seller in Aberdeen with a ?27 buy now on it...might be worth a look seeing as it is local

Had a look and it is fine. Have emailed seller to see if I can collect it and maybe get a few tips on how to set it up. As good as getting it from the shop I guess.

Thanks for finding this for me - your a star

Its dead easy to use. Put batteries in it, plug it in, switch your player on and turn up the volume, choose your frequency with the up or down buttons then tune in your radio. Then your free to pretty much put it anywhere safe.

Lorraine,
Dispite what you have read here you can fit the multichanger behind the seats. Both Jo and I have the changer behind the passanger seat and it works a treat, easy access to change CD's, I can say that the Sony one I have, and Jo's Panasonic have never jumped or done anything silly, made installing 100 times easier as not having to drill holes into the boot. Just my 2 cents worth.........

Cheers,

Andy

Can you get an ipod/mp3 transmitter that is powered from the cigar lighter AND charges/runs the ipod at the same time. :?

From what I've seen the transmitters that work from battteries have quite a short battery life and it would be really good if the ipod was powered from the car. :)

The cardock I'm using does all that, The only issue with it is the frequency display isn't lit, which isn't really a big deal.

And another...I'm sure I read somewhere before, you can tune the i pod to the frequency of your two-way radio, then amplify the transmitted messages through the car Hi-Fi...anyone tried it :!:

Hi,

Denison do a cable that links to the back of the stereo and it also charges at the same time, that way you don't have cables or the need to use your cigarette lighter. I'm not sure if they do one for the mazda stereo, but if they do then I'd recommend it. Check out www.ipodmycar.com

AAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

if I dont finish it tomorrow there will be one nearly new car for sale as I will be swinging from a tree somewhere.

In 3 years of study this is the worst one ever. I was a spit away from getting a 1st class honours but now I think it is rapidly going down the pot. I only have a few 100 words to do and that's it but it seems to take forever

Maybe once I get a few beers down my neck tonight I will be on form in the morning again. :?:

Thanks for asking by the way :)
