Tayside Classic Motor Show - 14th June 2009.

Tayside Classic Motor Show Update.. OVER 300 CLASSICS ATTENDING!

The Club Show takes place on Sunday, 14th June 2009, at Errol Airfield, Perthshire. Errol Airfield is situated between Perth and Dundee, not far from the A90 dual carriageway. Each year our show has got bigger and better, and we have not had bad weather yet. Last year saw a great event with almost 300 cars, fantastic weather, and a very good turn out of car clubs and classic car owners from all over the country. Our show is a charitable event. Last year we raised and donated almost £3000 to local charities.

Entries for the show have been great. So far, a massive 108 single entries and 196 cars from 19 different car clubs have confirmed they will be joining us at Errol. We are still waiting to hear from one other club. There will be a number of stalls and trade stands, and it's looking like we will have another fun packed day. Where else can you get that much nostalgia?

Entry at the gate £3 for adults £2 for kids.

This year we are looking at more cars, more stalls, and hoping for good weather. Adjacent to our showground is the weekly Errol Sunday market and car boot sale. Why not come along and check out both events - you might even go way with a bargain!

Anyone from Tayside area interested in a run along to see this?

Classic

I doubt I will manage, unless No.1 son is playing cricket and no1 daughter fancies another mx-5 jaunt - which she may well do.

I am Jealous of Malclom (Liathach) playing with Mamories though.

I love my MX5s!

Hum yellow Mk1 with black windscreen surround around Aboyne.. not sure I did not see a black Regie waving madly coming up to a junction.. thought my wheels were about to fall off  Guess it depends on which day; 23/24th on way up/down Ullapool and 30th taking the long way home.

Since no-one seemed interested in this event - I went along on my own.

Can't seem to get some people out their cars.

Not me - I have a Silver Mk 3.

Is this the Map? If it is - it's Nurburgring.

That's the one! Learn something new every day! So there were a few Mx 5ers there then. I was hoping a would see some on the inside. Did see a few Mazda's though, that seemed to qualify as classics!

I've just joined the forum and got to read through the posts. It was my 1994 Silver MX5 you were next to. Yes the map is Nurburgring and was on the car when I bought it in April. The low profile shod 16" alloys are off it and original 7 spoke alloys with Toyos now on in place. Much more driveable and comfortable as well. The alloys will probably be up for sale in a week or two and I'll add a note to the newbie page when I get time.
