Took the opportunity to take the car for a wee blast yesterday, up (or is that over!) to the Trossachs, up to Loch Earn, along to Crieff and then back home. Pleased to say that the top was down pretty much the whole way however the only waves we got were from a couple of Caterham 7s.
Shockeroony, only saw one other 5 in the whole trip - a Stratos Blue mk 2.5 as we passed Gleneagles Hotel - but they didn't wave  . Maybe that's because we'd just put the roof up fearing that it was starting to rain - apologies for being a wuss  Anyway, we went topless again shortly afterwards for the remainder of the journey...fab way of coming over the Forth Road Bridge.

Nae mates!?! Tell us about it!

I battered down to Glasgow from Oban yesterday and waved at about half a dozen five's going the other way. With the exception of one guy in a BRG V-Spec outside Tynuilt every one of them looked at me like I was holding up a dead rat and trying to throw it into their car........

......... c'moan aw you MK2 drivers. Waaaaaaaaaaave!!! :D

Oooeer, you're stirring up a hornets nest there, Miataman!

Didn't you know Mk2 drivers wave just as much as Mk1 drivers :?:

Or so we're lead to believe

Well...ACTUALLY... I was out for a wee scoot aboot tonight (hey, it was a lovely evening and it'd be rude not to!) and the only 5 I saw was a silver mk 1. Did she wave? I should be so lucky...lucky, lucky, lucky!

So there y'go, not all mk 1 drivers are "salt of the earth, all round good guys"...unlike us mk 2.5 bods, of course...!

Right, that's the blue touch paper lit - methinks it's time to stand well back!

Non of this sexist nonsense, I like a good woman as much as the next man, but....

The combination of women mx drivers and mk2's is particularly poor from a waving point of view.

In fact very few women get as exited as us blokes about their 5's, and this leads to a distinct lack of waves.

No offence!! :D
