Hi All,

Had a great day on the recce, and only one pheasant.

Lunch is set to be out near Duns. Will post the menu as soon as possible.

I would say the run is through some pretty agricultural land and we are planning to go off the beaten track on the run. So given the time of year if it is at all damp please don't expect to have a clean 5 by the end of the run. (Graeme should feel at home). The route will be amended if too wet.

I will post the route once typed up.

Hope to see you there

Iain

We are monitoring the fuel situation just in case this event needs to be postponed. I am assured that many petrol stations in the East lothian area don't get their petrol from Grangemouth and there's no panic buying like the Central belt seems to be experiencing.

Agree 100%
However, I don't expect the EH' ers to be less thick than those in Dundee and upwards where fuel stations have run out.

I have been watching the situation out here, seems fine for now and local stations have fuel. But in Edinburgh most of the petrol stations on the busy roads (that I saw) had caps on the pumps.

When do people feel would be a good time to review this, I am thinking Tuesday to make the decision to go ahead or postpone. Is this too late or early?

Iain,

I reckon if people can turn up with a full tank on the day we should go for it. I agree also that we leave it until Tuesday to review the whole situation. I believe supplies are getting by and the panic buyers are now sitting at home with their cars and lawnmowers all topped up.

Gavin

I think we should be ok to go for it? I did have some bother finding petrol today in Edinburgh, but it seems to be ok to a degree and the panic buying episode seems to have passed. and Using IKEA there is a petrol station right there too.

Are you OK to muster at Newbridge and I will attend at IKEA (Facing away from store in top car park left hand side)

I think if we are both there from about 9.45 onwards that should be fine.
If you depart at 10.15 as set out in the newsletter this will look after potentially those without web access and bring whoever you have to the IKEA gathering point (should only take a few minutes to make it over) and we will depart in convoy at about 10.30am

Advertise IKEA 10.00am as the main gathering point on the website

coco - don't worry!
It means we are down some unlisted roads which are all fine I have recced most of the roads in East Lothian.
We are not ploughing furrows!

It would be a shame to not see you on a run in your area?

blimey.

That is low. Ok point taken.
There is one corner that take you about an hour to weave your way around then not so much pot holes, but more where the cooncil have dolloped in repairs...
