Sad News

Postby DouglasH » Tue Mar 11, 2008 2:54 am

I was very saddened to hear of the death of Cecille Clarke the other day, Cecille and Jim have been members of the Club for just over a year now and have attended quite a few Events, often travelling great distances from their home in Kircudbright to reach our start points. Cecille had been fighting her Cancer for a while now and had set a personal goal to meet up with us at Easter. Jim has sent a few pictures and poems that Cecille had written.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Jim and the family at this time.

We had the pleasure to meet Cecille a few times and she proved to be quite a character, I am sure she will have left a void that will be trully hard to fill in many peoples lives.

It was really good to be able to share some time with Jim and his daughter Jackie on sunday. Our thoughts are with Jim and his family.

Jim,
It was nice to speak with your daughter and yourself on Sunday. It is great to see you are keeping Cecile's memory alive with the links you both formed with the club and its members.

We would like to express our condolences to you and urge you to continue to continue to be part of the Club and the car that we all enjoy and have more opportunities to share the wonderful memories you have of Cecile with us.

Kind regards,

Jim & Alison Tolson

Having had the pleasure of Jim's company over the two days of the Easter Weekend, he asked if I could express his sincere thanks to everyone for their kind comments.
