Got a Mk3, Considering a Mk2 or Mk1 with FI

Postby havoc1 » Sun Feb 24, 2008 10:15 pm

Hi,

My wife has a mk3 1.8 on contract hire, which is going back in May. Previously my mum owned a mk2 1.8 which I drove a lot. Now thinking about what to do when the mk3 goes. Considering various different cars, all rwd with an LSD.

Does anyone in here have a Mk1/2/2.5 with forced induction? I have always felt the lack of power is the biggest issue with these cars, and would like to experience one with a bit more kick, if anyone can give me a passenger ride and a chat. I live in Paisley.

Cheers

MK1 with S/C

There are a few around - tend to be a bit farther north of you
but there are at least 3 S/C,d 5,s in the central belt.(that i know of anyway)

upcoming tracknight(knockhill) would be your best bet for a passenger ride .

No, forced induction means either supercharger or turbocharger.

You could shout at your K&N... that would kind of be forced induction...

Never mind, Woulfie. At least you can stop buying that expensive 98 octane juice and go back to the cheap stuff!
