Snowboard carrier

Postby devnull » Sun Nov 11, 2007 6:34 pm

Hi,

I'm a new owner and new member (bought a new dark blue 1.8i in July) and need to be able to carry 2 snowboards. Does anyone know how ? My guess is a decent boot rack and a pair of ski/snowboard holders but I'm hoping someone out there has a recommended setup ?

Cheers

Hehe. Thought of that and I'd happily do it if were not for the bindings getting in the way ...

Checked out some sites and the prices are crazy for mk3 accessories :-(

Thanks for the suggestions however, I decided against the idea because the speed restrictions set by the manufacturers were too low - and I don't think I'd be able to restrict myself to 50 mph just because I have a snowboard or two strapped to the boot ...

Use another car or don't carry passengers are the only solutions ...

I think you would probably have to speak nicely to your pals, I`m just about to buy a mk2.5 and have the same concern, it will be the only car I own- I think europe, canada and the states is the only choice moving forward, however I went to the nevis range on Monday and the conditions were amazing; bright sunshine and cracking powder
